Terms of Service
Effective date: 1 October 2026Last updated: 12 October 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Passa website and app (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
Passa has no set minimum age. The app is study material for people who want to learn about Sweden and prepare for the citizenship test. Purchase features are subject to the app store’s account and payment rules.
2. The Service, what it is and what it is not
Passa is an independent educational app with lessons and practice questions for people who want to learn about Sweden and prepare for the citizenship test. Passa is not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorised by UHR or any Swedish government authority. The content is educational material, and using the Service does not guarantee that you will pass the test.
3. Accounts
Passa does not require you to create a Passa account. Study progress and preferences are stored locally on your device and are not synced through a Passa account.
4. Subscriptions
Premium features require an active subscription. Purchases are offered in the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The current product, price, currency, billing period, any trial and renewal terms are displayed before you confirm a purchase.
Auto-renewable subscriptions (iOS)
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically under the terms shown in the App Store at purchase unless you turn off renewal before the next charge.
- The price and next billing date appear in your Apple subscription settings.
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID account settings.
- Turning off renewal normally leaves access in place until the end of the paid period, subject to applicable refund rules.
Auto-renewable subscriptions (Android)
- Payment is charged to your Google account at confirmation of purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically under the terms shown in Google Play at purchase unless you turn off renewal before the next charge.
- You can manage your subscription, turn off auto-renewal and view renewal dates in the Google Play Store under "Subscriptions".
- Refunds for Android purchases are subject to Google Play’s refund policies.
Refunds
For Apple purchases, you can request a refund from Apple. For Google Play purchases, you can request a refund through Google Play or contact us about a purchase or billing problem. Refund decisions depend on the platform’s rules and applicable consumer law. These Terms do not limit your statutory rights.
5. Intellectual property
Passa’s study content is based on UHR’s Sverige i fokus, 1st edition, corrected version dated 10 August 2026. UHR has stated that it does not currently object to the use of parts of the material over which it holds rights, provided that UHR is cited as the source, the version is identified, third-party material is not used without permission, and UHR’s logo and other distinctive marks are not used. UHR reserves the right to assess copyright protection at a later date, and its statement does not transfer intellectual property rights. Rights to third-party material must be cleared separately.
Passa is independent of UHR and does not claim rights in UHR’s name, material or trademarks. You may use the Service for personal study. These Terms do not give you permission to copy, republish or sell material beyond what law or an express licence allows.
6. Third-party services
Purchases through the Apple App Store and Google Play are also subject to the applicable store terms.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or accurate at all times, except as required by mandatory Swedish consumer law. We do not guarantee that the content reflects the latest version of the UHR test specification at any given moment.
8. Limitation of liability
Passa does not guarantee that you will pass the citizenship test. Your and our liability is governed by applicable law. These Terms do not limit your statutory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
You may have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase. How it applies to a subscription depends on the purchase, the contracting party shown by the store and whether the conditions for any exception are met. Check the information displayed before purchase and contact Apple, Google Play or us if you wish to withdraw. Nothing in these Terms limits a right of withdrawal under mandatory law.
10. Termination
You may stop using Passa at any time. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal through your Apple ID settings or Google Play. Access normally continues until the end of the paid period, subject to applicable refund rules.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The current version is published on the website with its last-updated date. For material changes, we will give notice in the app or on the website before they take effect where possible. Continued use after a change means acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Swedish law. If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, you retain the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence.
Contact us first if you have a complaint. An unresolved dispute may be brought before a court with jurisdiction. Consumers may also refer an eligible dispute to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN).
13. Operator and contact
Passa is operated by Yury Barysenka. Contact us about the service, purchases or complaints.
